Actor, producer, and proud Texan Glen Powell is best known for lighting up the screen in hits like Top Gun: Maverick, Anyone But You, and Twisters. But now, he’s taking center stage in a whole new arena: your kitchen. With the launch of his brand-new line of sauces and condiments, Smash Kitchen, Powell is bringing star power to the sauce game — and it looks like he’s doing it with purpose, personality, and plenty of flavor.
Smash Kitchen isn’t just another celebrity vanity brand. It’s a deeply personal project for Powell, inspired by his love for backyard barbecues, quality time with family, and a lifelong obsession with slathering sauce on everything in sight. According to Powell, who grew up concocting homemade condiments as a kid, the idea for Smash Kitchen began when he couldn’t find a healthier version of his beloved sauces that still tasted like the classics he grew up on.

“I made my own hot honey ketchup when I was 7 years old,” Powell told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s always been a thing in our family to end a meal and say, ‘That was a smash.’ That’s where the name came from — good food, good vibes, and good memories.”
Smash Kitchen is launching with eight essentials: Classic Ketchup, Hot Honey Ketchup, Yellow Mustard, Dijon Mustard, American BBQ Sauce, Hot Honey BBQ Sauce, Classic Mayo, and Spicy Mayo. But this isn’t your typical lineup. Every bottle is made with organic, non-GMO ingredients, free from artificial preservatives, high fructose corn syrup, and anything you can’t pronounce.
Even more impressive? Every product is priced between $1.97 and $4.97, making clean-label condiments accessible to just about everyone. Available now at Walmart stores nationwide and Walmart.com, Smash Kitchen is positioning itself as a pantry staple, not a once-in-a-while splurge.

Powell didn’t just slap his name on a label. He co-founded the brand with entrepreneurs Sean Kane and Sameer Mehta, investing his own money and participating in countless family taste-testing sessions to get the flavors just right, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The actor was heavily involved in every step — from recipe tweaks to branding — and even hosted a saucy launch party in the Hollywood Hills to introduce the line.
The ketchup and barbecue sauces have already garnered fan favorites status. Food & Wine wrote that Smash Kitchen’s Hot Honey BBQ Sauce reminded them of McDonald’s Tangy BBQ Sauce (meant as “the highest of compliments”) and the magazine said the Spicy Mayo has the rich, silky texture of Hellmann’s, with an added kick. The Hot Honey Ketchup, featuring puréed organic jalapeños, hits the perfect balance of heat and sweetness without overpowering the taste buds.
Smash Kitchen may be starting with condiments, but Powell and his team seem to be dreaming bigger. Plans are already in motion to expand into a full line of better-for-you pantry staples by the end of the year, he shared with The Hollywood Reporter. From sauces to seasonings and beyond, the goal is to reinvent the everyday items that make up the backbone of American kitchens.
“Our long-term goal is to change every kitchen staple,” Powell said. “It starts with condiments, but we’re thinking about how we can reimagine the pantry in a way that’s cleaner, tastier, and more affordable. We’re building something that can live in every household.”
While many stars have lent their names to cookware lines or fashion collections, Powell’s approach to Smash Kitchen stands out. It’s deeply rooted in his personal life, shaped by the memories of home-cooked meals in Texas, and powered by a belief that food should bring people together—and nourish them in the process.
